Sorting the wheat from the chaff....

Just this morning my copy of "News & Views" (The monthly magazine of the Al-Anon Family Group in the UK and Eire), dropped through my letter box, and in it was this little gem:

Thought for the month

Let not my thinking become confused by
listening to too many opinions,
but let me consider each one individually
to see if it can be of help to me.
(One day at a time in Al-Anon p.142)

And title on the front cover of "News & Views" ?

Take What You Like & Leave The Rest

Hmmmm, so if you are confused when you ask for responses and people share their experiences with you, remember the above; and only take what is of help to you personally remembering that no two people's experiences are exactly the same and no one stands in your shoes to see and feel and experience what you see and feel and experience.
