Retired from rescuing the big kids, horses, llamas, pigs huge and small.
BUT have always wanted a tortoise in my life.
So an opportunity came up to rescue one.
He is only about a hundred pounds now, lives in my living room. lol I was going to make a bedroom just for him but decided heck with that, I don't want to miss a thing!
My desire and dream is to go to Africa. I watch and listen to the Africam all the time. Heard an actual live kill of a wildebeast by a lion one night. Was pretty scarey! Next day there it was right on the cam.
Well lions are vegetarians, least not yet!
Anyway something I did for me, but mostly for Fred aka ? he has not told me yet. Wanted to make sure he did not end up not being taken care of properly, just a lark uno?
Anyhooo wanted to share. If anyone wants more pics just private email me. He is soooo coooool. love, debilyn

How fun for you! We once had a Savannah Monitor Lizard. It was all fine and well living in the backyard, until I found it VERY HUNGRY one day in my kitchen. The next weekend he was off to the reptile museum.
Enjoy your new friend.
Blessings,
Lou

Hope you make it to Africa one day.....I've been once to Kenya and found it an amazingly spiritual place, the night sky is wonderous, and I often bring it to mind in stressful times. On safari we saw a pride of lions, with cubs, feasting themselves on a fresh kill...the king of the pack was laying back majestically letting his family feed first......oh and loads more fantastic stuff. Oh no writing about it makes me want to go back!!
I have adopted my sons big ginger tom cat.....a bit like a mini lion....he now rules the roost here....and thats ok!
