Hi guys, I am new here. I am 28 year old white female living in South Africa. I am a fun loving person who enjoys being with family and friends. I need your guys help desperately badly. If I dont do something about my drinking now it will become a major major problem. My dad loved to drink and if I dont stop now I am going down the same path and dont want to end up like he did.. Please help
You have taken a brave first step, you are aware you may have a problem and you are willing to change. If you post again on the AA forum here, you will be welcomed by many who have a wealth of understanding, experience, strength and hope to share with you.
Al-Anon is for the families and friends of those who are affected by the alcoholic in their lives, and it seems that you may be affected in that way too by your Dads drinking......there is also the ACOA forum here for adult children of alcoholics.
