i am quite a creative person. i love writing:- letters, poems, short stories, etc. this skill has been of great help and comfort during some very dark times in my life. i have started using the skill again since my breakup with AH. sometimes i just sit and write whatever comes into my head (most inconvenient when the thoughts come at 2.30am!, sometimes i plan a story line and conclusion. today i sat to write a letter to my dad but got sidetracked as various thoughts wouldn't go away. Reading them back to myself i realised how strong i am becoming. i would like to share them with you in the hope that they inspire strength and resilience in you too. x
And writing therapy really works! I have done research about it, and writing down your feelings helps you process them even if you never look at your writing again. It's true!
So I recommend that everybody who is struggling write down your feelings once a day--keep a journal or burn the pages when you're done if you want to. Either way, it will help!
:D
