level.
I am asking my fellow Al-Anoners to please consider offering up some much needed prayers for another al-anoner, who is having quadruple bypass tomorrow afternoon. He and I have been conversing by way of Yahoo Messenger for the past 4 days. I am doing my best to keep him occupied as well as keep his spirits up. Perhaps this is my way of feeling better about the situation, and my way of expressing that I care... I hope I am succeeding in helping him an supporting him, and it seems as though I am.
They scheduled him for the operation to happen yesterday but, it was rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
I am asking all of you to Please, PLEASE...offer up many prayers during your hours between today and Thursday, for my Friend Michael. I will continue to 'be there for him' so his mind is occupied, and he can also voice his fears, concerns during the hours until tomorrow afternoon comes - if he needs to, my way of support for him.
There is power in prayer - I don't ask for much but feel this is is an OK thing to ask for - because it is not for my own behalf - it is for a friend, and I am scared and concerned for him too. His talk about mortality, as well as some comments of his 'I WISH I DID/HAD/ TRIED'....has me wondering if I should be saying certain things - ignoring certain things he says...etc., as well and life, such as it is - my emotions are also running rampant....so, if you can - PLEASE - think of him often...and ask HP to envelope him with strength, courage and comfort....to guide him through this operation with flying colors.
Thank you for listening!
Yours in recovery, Lacewing
