Thanks to all who responded and/or prayed for my son in my previous post !!!! I took one suggestion and contacted the Salvation Army Rehab Program. Gave them a quick history of my son's addiction and legal troubles. And they are willing to consider him for treatment. Got the application this week and sent it to son (in jail ) to complete. It then has to go to his PO for his cooperation and then back to the salvation army so they can make thier decision. After reading about thier program it seems to be the perfect fit for my son. It is long term 6-18 months until the person ( as long as following treatment program and rules) are totally on thier feet. Although he could get in faster if we had the money to pay for his treatment he will need to be on the scholarship program. So if accepted waiting list could be 2-3 months. During which time he will be in Jail. It is a ray of hope for us and our son as he is totally on board with wanting to get in the program. So asking again for a few more prayers that he can be accepted into the program and that the Judge signs off on it. Your prayers have been working so far and I am so gratful for the love and support in these rooms. Thank you all God Bless
That it good news. Take no prisoners when it comes to recovery. We will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers. Love and blessings to you and your family.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

I am so pleased that you have taken the action to inquire about the Salvation Army Rehab. As I have shared in the past with you and others, their program is wonderful and can be a true blessing. My own son was sent there by a judge and I believe that between God and them, it was his life saver. Today, he is clean and sober for close to 3 years and working a very strong program. I prayed and then let it go, I knew that his Hp would move when it was time. I pray that your son is also accepted into there program and that your entire family will find the peace mine has. Never stop believing in Miracles, they are happening everyday.
Love in recovery, grammie
Live each day gratefully, It is a gift.

I know a number of people who got sober through the Salvation Army. Their programs are tremendously strong. I don't know there is a time limit on what it takes to get sober. Some people do it on their own with AA and some go to programs. What I do know is they genuinely have to want it and for some of them that comes from hitting bottom.
My prayers are with you. I hope you will avail yourself of Al anon's incredible tools, detachment being one of them. Focusing on ourselves is another one. I have my life to live regardless of where the alcoholic is in theirs.
