John boy,
You can make it through this. Sometimes it may be one day at a time, an hour at a time, and a minute at a time. You keep putting one foot in front of another and you will make it through this.

I went out the other night, something I never do for me as a single mom, and I had so much fun. I didn't think about my hub (we are getting divorced), I just let myself have that night.

When I came home, I missed having that someone to talk to about my night. I allowed myself to feel the lonliness, sadness, and pain that not having him around is for me. I only allowed myself that for just a minute or maybe 5biggrin, but then I rememberd how much fun I had and that I do have people to share that with.....my ala-family.

I came here I posted about my night and what that meant for me and what growth I saw in just allowing myself to have fun. No it isn't the same as cuddling up with my hub and telling him what happened, but then again I woudln't have had that even if he was here.

You are not alone. You have many people wishing you well on your journey.

You are in my prayers.

Yours in recovery,
Mandy

Please be gentle with yourself, your heart is broken. We never know what each day will bring.

The stronger you can get, the better you can handle situations. Meetings, literature being here are so helpful.

John boy,
I replied to your pm, but since your name has been deleted I don't think you will get it.
