I came across this quote while I was cleaning out some files yesterday. Tell me what you think:
"Change has considerable psychological impact to the human mind. To the fearful, change is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful, change is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident, change is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better." - King Whitney Jr. CEO, Personnel Laboratory Inc.
Love and blessings to all. Make it a great day, we deserve it.

It a good scale to see where you are with yourself ... fearful---hopeful---confident... It's like a continuum I believe I am between hopeful and confident right now. I think you can slide up and down the continuum depending on where you are with yourself at the time.
Great comparison. I know early in my recovery, I was definatley stuck in the fear. Or at least I was fearful of any change that I did not try to orchestrate myself. LOL
Now, I am somewhere in the hope-confidence realm, and definately slide up and down depending on where I am in my program. I hope never to slide back into that kind of fear, but if I ever do, at least I know how to get out now.
In recovery,
