work in progress...marriage with A

HI-- I have been coming to online meetings for few years now--Have gotten much useful information from all you great people-- Now I feel like marriage is hanging in the balance--has dissolved into being roommates--Im on the fence about what to do--So been taking time--praying (I never prayed so much in my life), meditating--soulsearching--so as to make the best--and maybe biggest decision in my life--I keep giving it time, coz I know it will affect my kids immensely--Its really scary--so many people can be independant --it scares the hell out of me--I know logically what to do--to make it happen? thats anothe story--I feel stotally "stuck"--trying to do little things to make life a little happier--day by day--I just had to write--adn vent--Thank you all for being here --and liksteining to all my endless rambling and sharing at meetings...and now here too pray.gif

Aloha CL...After one of the many separations my alcoholic spouse and I went thru
the friends at work and outside of the program all defaulted to divorce.  It's what
we do here in America!!  Divorce the B--ch and move on to the next one.  The
Al-Anon program had a different approach and filtering thru my sponsor at that
time I was led to not doing any major decisions over the next several years and
until I had done a very through run on the steps, slogans, traditions and had a
better than usual relationship with my Higher Power.   Then and only then did I
consider the next move...for me.   Keep coming back.  This program really works
when you really work it.   (((((hugs))))) smile

Ramble on. That's why we go to Alanon. To say what is on our minds and get experience, strength, hope back. My AHsober left. So I had to learn how to do it alone. Many of us are afraid. By it is doable one day at a time. Jerry give good advice. Work the program first.

In support,
Nancy

Thank you for your post.  What do you do when the AH is on a dry drunk and hates you though?  It can hurt so much.
