Get those mamograms!

(((((Family)))),

Good morning.  This is my annual reminder to all of my family here: GET THOSE MAMOGRAMS!  October is breast cancer awareness month.  So let's get this done.  I have mine tomorrow.  Such a simple procedure that can save your life.  Tell all your mothers, cousins, sisters and friends.  Make it a girls day out: shopping, lunch and getting your mamograms.  I'm still working on my sister.  There is nothing to fear.  It's better to know than find out too late.  .

There are agencies that can help you if you can't afford to have one done.  There is  a wonderful site, that if you click on it it will help donate free mamograms to women in need.  If you want the link PM me and I'll send it to you.  I make it part of my daily routine to go there.  Paying it forward as I always say.

Recovery is about taking back our life and living the life we so richly deserve.  It's about getting healthy all the way around.  Spiritual, emotional and physical health all go hand in hand.  We owe to ourselves to be the best we can be.  So let's get this done girlfriends! Don't forget to do those monthly self exams.  They are just as important.  The new standard for that by the way is to lie down on the floor

Much love and blessings to you and your families.

Live strong,
Karilynn & Pipers Kitty heart.gif

Sign me up as soon as they find a better way to do them.

But in all seriousness - I was supposed to get one last year (my doctor likes to have patients get them once they turn 35). I never did because I'm scared of the pain. I have to see my doctor today and I know she's not going to be happy that I never got one.

KARILYNN:
DO I HAVE A MAMMOGRAM STORY TO TELL YOU: THOUGHT IT WASN'T TO COST ME ANYTHING AND THEN 6 MOS. LATER I GET A BILL!  AFTER THE NEWS(ON SAT. NO LESS), I LOST SOME OF MY SERENITY BECAUSE IT WAS SAT. & I COULDN'T TAKE CARE OF IT UNTIL TODAY.  IT IS STILL NOT RESOLVED & I OWE OUR HOSPITAL $191 WHICH I WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO PAY!
IT IS A LONG STORY BUT IT WILL WORK ITSELF OUT.
MY FIRST REACTION WAS THAT I WILL PROBABLY NOT PLAN TO GET A MAMMOGRAM AGAIN UNTIL I AM SURE THAT I WON'T HAVE TO PAY.
POOR ME.
I WILL GET OVER IT!

(((Kari))) you are so very thoughtful -
Mom and Aunt had this, (Mom diagnosed at 43 and passed at 46)
This year I had an MRI done (because of my age the films are harder to read) and now the Dr has me checked once, instead of twice a year.

Sending best wishes to everyone getting exams heart.gif
