trying to stay possitive!

I WILL TRY TO STAY POSITIVE TODAY!  NOT EVEN THE RAIN WILL BRING ME DOWN!  I KNOW THE RAIN IS NECESSARY BUT SOMETIMES IT CAUSES A BIT OF SADD!
EVERYONE PLEASE DO THE SAME.
I KNOW THAT WE CAN ALL PULL TOGETHER & SUPPORT EACH OTHER NOW MATTER WHAT!
BLESS YOU ALL!

You know I thnk learning the focus of al anon is an ongoing job. We fall over and we have to get back up.  Nothing but nothing comes without effort.  I try to envison the image of just hitting the ball in front of me, not getting tied up in the future or the past.  I can keep ont rack that way.

Maresie.

It's raining here today too. I admit, I prefer the sun.

I am reminded of a story my Indian guru had told. He was traveling and waiting in an airport, when someone next to him began to make small talk, sarcastically saying, "Nice day, eh?!"

(It was cold, windy and rainy outside.)

My guru smiled and wholeheartedly agreed, "Yes! it is a beautiful day."

The guy looked at him, and said, "Are you nuts?! It's miserable out, the wind is terrible.... it's the worst day ever!!!!!!"

My guru paused. And said, "Thank you for testing me."

Thanks for the post, Hoot.

Hoot.............3 days ago I was very grumpily looking for something in my shed thinking I'll really have to do something about the clutter in here.

Last night and all day today......storm force winds and rain....shed blown over......job done!! laughing.gif

Tonight 3 hour power cut..........rain rain and more rain....no wind thankfully.
Thanks for your sunny positive post  sun.gif cos I was feeling mighty grumpy before I read it smile.gif

Hello and Hugs Hoot!

Yes, the rain got me too while I was out on my lawn mower trying my best to kill some time. It made me think of the song: Praise You In This Storm by Casting Crowns.
Its the storms in my life that have allowed me to grow in my relationship with GOD. Nothing can be more positive than having a friend like GOD.
If you have a chance to look up the song on you tube, please do.

Sincerely,
Tonya
