I asked for a sign, and I got it....always in HP's time not mine...

I am filled with gratitude and very blessed, but the past couple of weeks have left me repeatedly feeling off and struggling to stay on track.

Though this is my favorite time of year, it also holds memories from the past and difficult times filled with hurt, times that come back to mind even more so this time of year.  Today I am grateful for those times, even though the hurt was horrible, it needed to be and  it  lead me to where I am today, which Ive come to trust, is right where Im meant to be.

Today, like everyday, my HP and I chatted on my way to work -(Hes more of a listener most days as I tend to ramble at timesJ) As I struggled this morning to get my focus where it needs to be, I asked Him for a sign, not just a sign but a Burning Bush (sometimes Im a bit hard headed-lol).  I struggle often with what is actually MY will and what is His for me.  I prayed only for His will for me, but threw in a request for some kind of  sign, any sign, whether to give up all hope of what I still believed, or to hold onto hope but continue my life and my journey, a journey I had to start on my own.  No matter what I would accept His will and live in this day only but I really needed to know which direction to take in my next right step, as I was lost and feeling very stuck lately, and try as I might, I can't seem to move forward.

As I dried my tears (turning into quite the girly girl lately-YUCK!), I pulled into Mickey Ds (having already passed my favorite Mickeys I opted for another one instead)

As I went to pay for my order the woman at the window told me to have a nice day, it was already paid for, that the car in front of me had taken care of it.  I looked but had no idea who it was, and they drove off while I waited for my order.

Now those of you who know me, know I believe in signs.  I also believe that coincidences are just miracles where my HP (God) chooses to remain anonymous.

This morning, I asked for, pleaded for a sign, a burning bush, and within minutes it was handed to me, in the form of a total stranger.  Random acts of kindness from a total stranger give me hope and tell me to hold onto hope.   I dont believe my HP wants me to give up hope on anything or anyone, and I know my HP answers all prayers, in His time, not mine.

I was told once that time doesnt have to be an enemy unless we let it.   I didnt believe it back then, but more and more I can see that person was right, time can be a friend, if we let it.  Time doesnt change what really is, and it will never change HPs will.   That is once constant we have in this ever changing world.

I read somewhere.

Things can change in the blink of an eye, but dont worry-God never blinks!

Peace and hope,

Shelly

I received my sign this weekend. I was getting ready to leave the house and I said to myself that I would listen to one more song on the oldies radio station. The song "I will survive" came on. I almost fell over. That has been my theme song over the years. Surviving everything that is handed to me. No one in the house to share the experience so I figure it was an HP thing.

In support,
Nancy
