Tissue Issues.......aches and pains....OUCH

I have a burning shoulder pain, almost constant, and it varies in severity ...good day, slow burn...bad day, cattle prod territory

My daughter is currently undergoing training as a volunteer in addiction recovery support and tissue issues was the topic today....my shoulder is a known 'living with addiction' phenomenon, I have a tissue issue!!

She herself has developed a nervous skin condition....(her brothers alcoholism, her marriage breakdown due to her husbands alcoholism.....need I say more)

We need to be good to ourselves, our bodies are dropping big hints that hey,  all is not well here.

I go for a back and shoulder massage once a month.....bliss

Do you have a tissue issue...what do you do to be good to you?

Ness x

Aloha Ness...What I have learned to do is a combination of focused meditation and
metaphysical manipulation.  That works and has worked for along time on a bunch
of conditions minor to severe and for which many of my doctors have expressed
surprise.   Everyone can do it.    (((((hugs))))) smile

Hi Ness

Good to hear from youI agree alcoholism takes a terrible toll on the body and mind of  everyone in the family .

My body was screaming out in pain before I ever  acknowledged the effects of alcoholism on myself.

My symptoms became so severe I was hospitalized for 2 weeks with bleeding ulcers.  I was 30 at the time and my husband's alcoholism was "under control"

Today I use Yoga,A lanon and mediation to keep mind and body healthy
I am glad  you have found a source of help and thanks for the thoughtful question.

Hi Ness

Great post, thank you.

The link between stress and disease is a strong one, and there are many good books on how to heal our bodies by understanding this process. I know its not Al-anon lit but I am presently reading You Can Heal Your Life by Louise L Hay. It is very interesting.
I found that I hold all my stress in my muscles, and somedays they are so painful. My body soaks up negative energy like a sponge.
I practice yoga and meditation to counteract this.

With love and Gratitude Carol
