I HAVE BEEN SO BUSY LATELY THAT I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO CATCH UP ON THIS SITE! I HAVE BEEN DOING PRETTY WELL. HAD A COUPLE ROUGH NITES A FEW DAYS AGO BUT I AM A SURVIVOR & I AM BACK ON TRACK. TODAY IS A GOOD DAY--I AM NOT GOING TO LET MY MOTHER CONTROL ME TODAY. I PURPOSELY WAITED TO COME DOWN HERE TO GET ON THIS COMPUTER SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH HER WAITING FOR ME TO FINISH MY HOUR HERE. SOMETIMES SHE PUSHES ME OUT THE DOOR SO SHE CAN GET WHAT SHE WANTS. TODAY IS SATURDAY & I REALLY PLAN TO TAKE IT EASY! MY MOM JUST WALKED THROUGH THE DOOR AS I WAS TYPING HOW I WANT TO TAKE IT EASY! SHE DIDN'T READ WHAT I SAID AT LEAST. IT IS HARD TO SAY NO TO HER--I HAVE SET BOUNDARIES. ALSO I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO HELP ANOTHER MEMBER LATELY--I BELIEVE THAT GOD WANTS ME TO HELP HER NOW THAT I AM ABLE TO "HELP" SOMEONE. GOOD THINGS ARE HAPPENING IN THE FUTURE AS LONG AS I DON'T "FUTURE-TRIP"! BLESS YOU ALL! SORRY SO LONG IT HAS BEEN AWHILE! KATHLEEN
Aloha Kathleen....One of the necessary tools for me regarding saying "No" is overcoming the fear of saying "No". That fear sometimes comes with negative self judgment and guilt. I had to learn how to humanize my mother so that the playing field was level rather than to give her more power over me than another human being should have. Go for it and please share how it went and came out for you. (((((hugs)))))
