Part of detaching for me is the joy of having manageable achievable goals rather than struggling and feeling I am not achieving much. I could of course be really down as I still live around very dsyfunctional people (detaching really helps there) there is little work to be hard where I am and I am working part time at a very very exhausting job. I'm really trying to focus on goals. Right now I am close to the weight loss the nutritionist set for me. I will meet that goal by the time I meet her in August. That is an achievement.
Of course I have far more lbs to lose after that but it is a notch on the way. I really work hard these days on following my sponsors suggestion to put the positive first.
good for you for acheiveing a weight loss goal set ~ that is awesome! I do much better when I am positive too & focus on that in my life. I started working out last week and feel better & see improvements already. I keep a journal of what Im doing, as well. When I work out, I tend to not want to ruin it with eating poorly. It just feels better all the way around.
I have found that when Im positive, I tend to be more aware of positive things going on around me and can be that much more grateful right now and it does keep growing/expanding.

Great jobs for both of you. I am working on quitting smoking, which I have slipped a couple of times, but for the most part have really quit. Now I am concerned with gaining weight and have thought about doing Tae Bo, which really works for me. I have done it before and love the work out and it makes my whole body look good. I just need to get a plan and set it in motion. It has always helped me to get my kitchen set up with health food first before I start a work out program. I hope it works this time. Good luck to you both on setting and meeting goals. You have inspired me. Thanks.
While certainly I have many many challenges in my life, they are more manageable if I am able to focus on areas that have tangible gains. I can make small changes in and work slowly on the big changes rather than get overwhelmed with frustration.
