building a scaffolding

One of Overcome's posts recently really struck me about having problems before I ever met the ex A.  I certainly did not have a  healthy structure to my life or an idea where I was going or how to get there.  I was all too ready to hitch onto the exA's star and then blame him when it became a disaster.

These days after 2 years apart none of the ex A's disasters are part of my daily life. Certainly I have the residue of his mess to deal with but there is nothing ongoing left.  I am working hard to create a space for myself where I can make a scaffolding for a life ahead. That is one with boundaries, dreams, goals and support which of course I never had before.

For once I am excited abou the future rather than having a sense of impending doom.

Maresie.

The title is meaningful for me Maresie.  I'm currently working off the ground and
a scaffolding would be more sturdy and helpful than the top of a ladder.   Hmmmm
build it, borrow it or buy it?   LOL

(((((hugs))))) smile
