Boundaries and heartache

On Thursday night I packed a small rucksack with a change of clothes, a towel, toiletries, mobile phone and charger, a copy of courage to change and a copy of this....... which was posted on MIP this last week.....

A Cherokee fable: One evening, a grandfather was teaching his young grandson about the internal battle that each person faces......There are two wolves struggling inside each of us,' the old man said......One wolf is vengefulness, anger, resentment, self-pity, fear. The other wolf is compassion, faithfulness, hope, truth, love.'.....The grandson sat, thinking, then asked: 'Which wolf wins, Grandfather?'....

"His grandfather replied, 'The one you feed.'"

On Friday morning my Ason left home with this rucksack on his back....hes been feeding the bad wolf for the last week with  a never ending supply of alcohol

Boundaries were broken.....

We hugged, I told him we all loved him......and he left , drunk,  to go to the housing association and declare himself homeless.......I let him go with truth, compassion, hope and most of all love.

On Friday afternoon I got a call from the local A&E to say he had spent the afternoon in hospital and was now well enough to be collected and taken home.....I said no.

Tonight I dont know where he is.

When I posted the other day Mobirdie gave me this valuable tool.... if at anytime during the process you feel scared, uneasy etc. hold your arm to your side and clinch your fist really tight. That is us holding your hand while you complete the task at hand. Just remember that you cannot bring that fist up. That might create another difficult task to complete.
The great thing about this program is that we NEVER have to do anything alone again

Ive temporarily unclenched it to type......

Love and gratitude......Ness x

I am also the mother of an A son, I am having a very difficult time setting the boundries, I know you will have a whole range of emotions right now and my prayer is that our HP will watch over you and your A son.

Come back and be with us.
