The spouse is returning this afternoon from her annual family trip to the mainland. She called yesterday to tell me what time she would be at the Hilo Airport so that I could be there to pick her up suggesting that If I were to leave the house 10 minutes before she landed I could get there just after she got her bags and off we go without waiting (without much traffic the airport is 7 minutes away and that gives me us a buffer of 3 minutes). "Aaaaah I said the last time the plane was 10 minutes late and in 10 minutes I get into trouble remember? That 10 minutes took another 2 weeks to put my apology into place with the airport security...REMEMBER!! She sure did and she told me so!!
So, "When in doubt...don't!!", "Easy does it", "Don't react!!" of course "LET GO AND LET GOD!!" "Just For Today I will have a program..." All the steps, traditions, Concepts ...everything and "Be Humble for heavens sake!!" It's been almost a year and she (the security lady I lost it in front of) was pregnant then (yes I said pregnant. when my ego flies I am most important!!). If I see her this afternoon I'll ask her how the baby is and give her a hug. My hugs are irresistable. My bad attitude should be reisted at all times. Putting on program.
Jerry you wear it well my friend; it is like a jacket or some shoes we can choose to wear, isn't it, kinda?! Good analogy. Geez I sure do miss that place although I hear the vog has been pretty bad this year? I can just tell that your hugs are irresistable! Nice post! J.
I can tell, too, that she will LOVE one of your hugs!!! I hope she gets one!
If HP doesn't arrange for that to happen, then you can trust, it is not necessary. To me, amends is about ME and changing my behavior, not about ego wanting to force anything. I remember well, that day was so hard on you. I know you will never behave like that again. That's what's really important, right?
Forgive yourself. You're already in the midst of HP's blissful reality.

Jerry... you are simply the coolest person on earth!!! I could use one of those Jerry hugs one of these days - I think they'd be very therapeutic!! (Only through Al-Anon did I learn to accept and give hugs to men!! lol)
I wouldn't be surprised if your airport lady gets a pineapple, or box of macadamia nuts, or some such thing today.... :)

I remember the airport saga like it was yesterday...do be careful...remember the best intentions can be misinterpreted so go hug the wife and then there can be NO MORE SAGAs this time around. Hahaha.
In the meantime, you have my permission to hug me anytime sweetie.
