I HATE MY JOB!!!

I have had issues with my job but have stayed in it because it's "comfortable" meaning I can do other stuff as there's not that much to do here and nobody is breathing down my neck or bothering me.  There are some things that are very disturbing to me and I tolerate them for a 4 day work week.  I'm done.  I am going to find a new job, get over my fears about it being harder, more work, me not being able to do all the stuff I have to do for the kids working 5 days a week, etc. and just do it.  I am sick and tired of being sick and tired with this job!

It's funny how these principles apply in all our affairs. It's easy to live in denial that something is "comfortable" whether that be a job, or living with an alcoholic. It's what we know. It's what we are comfortable with. To change and come out of denial sometimes causes an "uncomfortable place" that we have to work through till we get to the other side.

You said, " There are some things that are very disturbing to me and I tolerate them for a 4 day work week. "

This also speaks volumes of what we do with the alcoholic. We are disturbed by their behavior, but we tolerate them for a "4 day work week" and then we go off on them the 5th day, lol. Tolerating and "putting up with" unacceptable behavior is something that we as al-anon's tend to do.

I am going to find a new job, get over my fears about it being harder....and just do it.

This is where it gets real. We decide to take back our power in our lives and stop being a doormat to our A and our life situations as we chose to lead them.

I am sick and tired of being sick and tired with this job!

This is what moves us forward and prepares us for change. Being sick and tired of
being sick and tired.

Thanks for this post Carolinagirl it gave me much insight to what we do in our lives both with the alcoholic and in our relations at work, with family and friends. Great post. Your workin' it, workin' it!

Being sick and tired of being sick and tired must be in the water, LOL.

I notice that when I really work my program.....the end result??? serenity...

even if i am working my program "in my resting periods" which i am now...as i eat my breakfast i am setting aside  1 hour per day instead of the multi hours of late until i get my strength back....why??? b/c  giving my HP and the universe an hour a day is nothing compared to what HP gives to me...

ALSO, when i read and  *respond to others* ....come out of SELF and GIVE when i can and reach out in love for others, i am rewarded  10 fold with more recovery....more love...better situations...and more satisfaction w/self....

God built us for relationship.....to be dependent on our HP....AND interdependent on others....INTER means to GIVE as well as TAKE...

I am not crazy about my job either, however, there is not a day that goes by that I don't thank my Higher Power for giving me this opportunity to make money where there are sooo many folks NOT able to find even a *bad job* and who are losing everything b/c of that.......i am out looking too....nothing wrong w/putting my feelers out....i just do it and then *toss it off* to HP and do my Gratitude list.

GRATITUDE for what i have and GIVING what I can carries me through even the lousiest days.......

Please take what you can use and leave the rest

(((((CG)))),

I am sorry you are having a tough time at work.  I know you will find something that makes you happy.  You are smart, savy young woman who can do anything she puts her mind to.  I say GO FOR IT! w00t.gif  I love your spunk and courage.  The kids by the way will only benefit from this change.  They will see their Mom only happier.  You know how good that can be.  They'll get use to their new schedule.  Remember it isn't always about the quantity of time spent, but rather the quality.  You've done really great with them so far.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.  w00t.gif  Much love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,
Karilynn & Pipers Kitty relax.gif

CG, you actually sound pretty bored with your job, IMHO. Lots of good reasons to make a change, make room for something better to enter, maybe something that you really like, better people, more interesting. Good luck! hugs, J.
