Moving day is upon me

Saturday is moving day.  I am dreading it but at the same time looking forward to it being over.  My entire life has been about packing and cleaning for the past month and I am so ready to have my other life back!!!  My last move was a disaster I was not prepared and had barely any help.

I feel pretty good about this time, I have way more stuff (way way more) but I have been preparing all month and done a dang fine job if I do say so.  I have help from my boyfriend, my daughter's prospective boyfriends (LOL), and a few other friends of mine, I have a uhaul scheduled this time and have planned everything down to a tee.  Please pray for sun (not too much just no rain), all the pieces coming together right like the truck and the carpet cleaners, and easy cleaning... I have been working my booty off to avoid a repeat of the last move which entailed me cleaning every day after work for a week.  This time should be a quick clean up I have been touch up painting, scrubbing under all appliances, scouring bathrooms, and keeping up with the daily laundry and dishes AND I have tomorrow off to wrap everything up with kids at school!

I feel much better this time and am so glad to have help!  I feel pretty confident that this is going to go off smoothly and my dream of having everyone there just loading and unloading in a few short hours may be realized.  Last time it was days of packing the rest of the stuff, not enough boxes, filthy house, odds and ends everywhere, garage sale left overs everywhere, and on and on.  I just need a couple more days of motivation and clear thinking about what needs to be done FOCUS... and I'm past this and on to the next chapter in my life.

You go girl. I HATE moving. The last 2 times I moved, I had boxes sitting around my house for a year afterwards. Uggghh!!! I unpacked stuff as I needed it. Of course the last move, most of the dangling boxes sitting around for a year belonged to the exAH. I finally got tired of looking at them & moved them into the shed, where they are still sitting yet another year later!!

Good Luck w/the move!!
Sincerely,
QOD

Sounds like you've got it licked this time - good for you for getting the help you need to pull it all together. I'm excited for you as you make this fresh start and take the next step in your life.

Good luck!

FANTASTIC!!!! I too hate moving. If there ever comes a day when I have to move again, I am just taking myself. HEHE.

Ya know, I relate moving to childbirth. It is always a good idea at the time, but then when the reality and pain hit, you wonder why it was so appealing and want to change your mind, but you can't. Once you have moved through it, the wounds have healed, and the mess is cleaned up, you can then look around and appreciate the beauty and good and clearly see why you pushed though the pain.

Good luck to you. Congrats on planning it out and lining up help. Those two things certainly will contribute to a smoother venture.

Blessings,
Lou
