My soon to be ex son-in-law got bite by a copper head several years ago. He went out to take the dogs out one night, barefoot and stepped on a copperhead. This snake hit him twice on the foot. Daughter rushed him to the local (small town) EM and they did not have the anti-snake venum stuff there. So, they had to care flight him to fort worth.
Long story short, he is ok(questionalbe), however he did remover from the snake bite. It is very scarey and there is nothing that will send me up the wall, than a snake(or a mouse). Pleaee keep us posted and he is in my prayers.

(((debilyn)))) hugs to you, your friend and the kiddo. I know that's pretty scary. My son barely missed getting bit a couple of years ago - same type of story, taking out garbage, barefoot, nearly stepped on the dang snake. We all wear shoes when we go outside after dark now.
An old member from the past is my dear friend. Please give a thought or two to his son.
the kid got bit by a copperhead snake today. He feels awful.
