Walking--helps mental, spriritual & physical

I enjoy walking because I know that when I do, I get so much out of it!  It affects me mentally, spiritually & physically.  I get closer to nature, my mind is clearer & I feel so much better physically although I get very tired sometimes, I think that kind of tired is good for you.
Lately the weather is changing so I can get out & walk more.  I enjoy just sharing moments with God & sometimes I listen to HIM when I pray while I walk.
God has been so good to me lately in everything I do--especially when I get out of myself & help others.  I used to be terrible about being out there & helping someone.  I guess I always wanted someone to help me.  I couldn't get out of myself & being so self-centered that I could really see other people's needs.
I hope that I will be able to find someone who needs to share themselves' with me.  I want to "listen" more & talk less.  I find when I talk to much, sometimes I don't "hear" myself anyway.
I am taking care of me now, too. No one will ever really be able to take care of me but me.
Kathleen

Kathleen (((((HUGS)))))

How right you are... We are really all we can depend on, and some people don't even have that... You are write that helping others will also bring joy to your life...

MY thing is, I will put myself out there to help dang near anyone, but I do not help the ones that wont help their self.. "My "A's"... :) Not easy either, but their choice... For my I volunteer at my sons school one day a week to get out the office and get my focus back.. I truly love it and miss it in the summers, but of course summer brings Yard work so I stay quite busy...

I too have always loved to walk, but like you the weather determines "when & If" that happens... I can't stand treadmills, for they go no were, and you just don't get the peace of walking in the great outdoors...

Glad you are taking care of YOU!!! clap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

Thanks Kathleen-

Great share and so very insightful.

I too found when I was taking care of myself- physical, emotional and spiritual  then I could give to others without any expection of return.  The joy was in the giving and being of service.  That was a direct GIFT of this proogram because before I did for oters but in the back of my head I expected receiprocity.

I too Thank HP every day for all the gifts I hae received.

Thanks again.

i walk quite a bit each day as a part of my weight loss regimen.  My breathing is so much better. I don't need to take my rescue asthma medicine as much as I used to.  I also find myself far less lonely.
