Seems I have been reading a lot of the same things in post lately, the insecurity of living with this disease.
Try and remember we have absolutely no control over this, it is out of our hands. We can only control ourselves and our lives.
I know the disease of addictions plays havic on everything in our lives and it can be very hard to focus on anything else at times.
I personally don't think we ever get use to living with alcoholism, at times it does consume everything in our lives, at times seems like we are in a living hell, because we are.
It can be hard to focus on the positive, it can be hard to function in daily living when your heart is breaking, and you feel like there is no hope.
Where there is life there is always hope. It is when the life ends that the hope goes with it. Although there are times when I still wait for him to walk thru the door.
Try and be kind to yourselves, take a walk, go get an ice cream cone, whatever you can do to take your mind off of things. Just the simple things in life.
Remember, life can be a beautiful place, we are not guaranteed tomorrow. So try and live today for just what it is today and be grateful you woke up this morning and God has given you one more day.
I love the expression, be the change you want to be in this world. Thanks for the positive reminder to do something nice for me. I'm off to bake blondie brownies. Take care of you!

The simple things in life....yes in deed!!! When I was finally albe to have gratitude, its those simple things that I realized mean so much to me. Without gratitude, I wasn't able to see anything except the chaos that smothered all the simple things. Sincerely, Tonya
Very well said. You and I both know how fleeting life can be. When I walk to work I pass the most glorious lilacs I have ever seen. Lilacs remind me of my home growing up. So everyday when I pass those lilacs I stop and smell them. A simple thing to do, but it always makes my day. Life is too short not to enjoy it. Thanks for the reminder. Love and blessings to you and the family.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty
