My sweet Beagle is very sick; what next???

Our sweet Beagle, Bonnie Lou is very sick and probably will not be with us much longer.  She is 12 years old; has congestive heart failure and now has bronchitus.  Took her to the vet this morning and spent a ton of money(I would spend my last dime) for her meds.  She is coughing and coughing.  Yes, dogs cough too.  

She is such an important part of our family.  Since all of our kids are grown(?) and out of house, she is like our child.  Only she does not talk back, or drink!!!  

I know there are worse problems out there, but please say a prayer for our sweet Bonnie Lou

OH God, Clara!!!!!  OF COURSE our sweet 4 legged kids are important!!!!  (((((((((((((((((((Bonnie Lou and Clara))))))))))))))))))

I was gonna just "surf" and go to bed, but this post touched my heart....I actually felt my heart throb for this lovely creature.........my prayer is

"Dear God..Please put your loving arms around Clara and her beautiful doggie, Bonnie Lou...We don't know what your plan is with her, but please, I beg you, take this doggie in the palm of your hand and hold her to you and let her know how much she is loved"

I feel sooo much for you Clara....Last month my Daisy (labrador Retriever) got real sick and I am almost a vet tech so I could nurse her at home...she wouldn't eat..Just threw up all the time, so I got her going after 2 days...Now she is ok, but she is only 6....in '06 I had to put my 12 year old Lab "Zoe" down because she was too sick for Docs to help her....I cried for 2 weeks and I still miss her....

YES they are our children.....Anyone who does not care for animals, I back off from...They are sooo connected to God...

Love and Prayers to you and your Bonnie Lou...She is very lucky to have such a good mama

Of course I pray for an easy passing of such a faithful friend. Such unconditional love, such joy, such devotion, of course you will be sad.

So, God be with you all. It will still be a loss. Not an insignificant one either. A loss is a loss and cannot be denied as that.

I had my dog, Bailey, for 16 years and I think she is the only one who's ever truly loved me unconditionally.

Never diminish the power of our pets and what they give us.  Two weeks after my beloved Tim passed, Pipers became very sick.  The thought of loosing her was more than I could bear.  But they were able to save her.

Even now after everything that has gone on, she's my rock.  Pipers and I will keep you and your beloved Bonnie in our hearts and prayers.  Much love and blessings to you both.

You have my prayers from Kansas! I took in my oldest AD's elderly dog 4 years ago for the last time, and told her she was here to stay till the end. She's on meds for congestive heart failure, and just turned 16 last month. We cherish each day that we have with her.

Thank you all for your prayers last night.  My sweet Bonnie Lou seems much better today.  She is coughing less and even eating some.

All your responses brought tears of gratitude to me.  When members of your family fail and dissappoint you, you can always turn to your sweet pet's love.  They love you so unconditionally and they are loyal.  They never get mad at you; they never back talk, or use drugs or drink, or steal from you or wreck your car.

Thanks again from the bottom of my heart and Bonnie's too.

Love you guys to much.  You have brought me from the brink many times.

I have an aging beagle who is overweight. Right now she is on a diet and sorely missing her food. I shower her with love.  Your dog was very loved, not too many dogs get that.

I am praying for you.
