Problems with youngest son

Dear all,

haven't posted in a while but have been reading posts which has helped at this present time. Youngest son has started smoking and acting out at school, I need to go in this wednesday to meet the teacher on same. He was absolutely a horror at home but I have been trying to use my alanon tools to get through this. Send on prayers for us as he is so like his uncles both a's that it is frightening. I hope we manage to turn a corner and get through all this.

Aloha LM!!

Try to stand way back from the explosion area!!  Somethings happen during
the start of teenage that defy explanation.  I know they happen to both
genders however a male will put a different spin on it that can only be
explained with what NASA calls out every time a rocket leaves the pad..."We
have a liftoff!!".  Of course some of this is from my own hindsight and experience.
I had no idea what door I had been transported thru but smoking (cigarettes)
was the very least of my problematic condition.  My poor Mom deserved that
half-assed apology I made to her years after and because of this program.
I mean what Mom likes to ask her handsome teenaged son for the firing pin
for his weapon just before he leaves the house for a night out or listen to
his explanation of "I've got the flu" as he picks himself up from falling down 7
stairs at 3AM in the morning and a night out with some school buddies. There's
more and the more I think of it the more I am convinced that she had a tighter
grip on God than she did reality.     Something happens.....   I once was told
it was a dam break of testosterone but if that is so what about the opposite
gender?

Make sure he knows there's a way out of it and then stand back.  He can also
work the program when he's ready.

In support while you stand out of range.  (((((hugs))))) smile

I went to the school this morning and the teacher was very nice. We discussed Pat's behaviour and worked on an action plan. He is now on report and has to get his form signed each class by his teachers who will report on his behaviour. I will then sign this every evening. I am happy with this and Pat has agreed to terms, whether or not thats going to happen, we'll wait and see. There were several things I did not do due to this board's help, they were as follows;
Create a crisis
Feed the crisis
Over react
Blame
Deny
Rage

Have had a good day, I feel I am dealing with authority figures with a lot more reality, am a little tired but thats to be expected. Thanks for all support, it has meant a lot,
