"Fear is that little darkroom where negatives develop" ~ Michael Pritchard Follow these steps everyday for thirty days - it'll take less than ten minutes day!
Pray upon rising:Thank you for this day and for the rich opportunities this day will bring forward. I pray for your love and light to guide me in all my endeavors, that I am safe, that I am protected, that I am free to express my gifts, that I may have work that fulfills me and nourishes my life, personally and financially. I am eternally grateful for all that is and have complete faith and trust that all my needs are met. And so it is. Amen Shower Meditation- Cleanse Your Fears Away: Start the water in your shower and begin to visualize yourself stepping beneath a warm, healing waterfall. As you step into the water (literally) imagine yourself standing in the most beautiful, serene place on earth, immersed in healing waters. Simply stand and allow the water to run over you, and say the words, "I am cleansed of all negativity and fear, I am free, whole and complete." Repeat this several times before resuming your shower.
Daily affirmation:Repeat this daily affirmation before you leave your home each day: "I surrender fear and choose to guided by faith in all my actions and choices today."
Reality Check:Whenever feelings of fear or negativity arise, ask yourself if there is any real or present danger to your well-being. If not, then know that any fear you may be feeling is simply a projection (like a movie), because no real danger exists. Remind yourself that F.E.A.R. means False Evidence Appearing Real (as written by Unity Founder, Charles Fillmore.) Write this down on a post-it: "F.E.A.R. means False Evidence Appearing Real." Place it on your computer at work or somewhere highly visible at home as a constant reminder. Practice Gratitude Daily: Choose one thing everyday to focus on that you have to be grateful for and keep your attention focused on gratitude for this throughout the day. Today I am grateful for...(fill in the blank.) Keep a Fear Buster Journal: Write out any fearful, fretful, angry or negative thoughts that may have come up during the day into your journal. Get these thoughts outside of your mind and energetic space at the end of each day. Thoughts do matter! Do not house negative or fearful thoughts inside of you...move them out in healthy ways.
Practice Generosity: Challenge yourself to do one generous thing for someone else everyday. Open a door, carry someone's groceries, offer to baby-sit for a friend, call your mother and tell her how much she has given you, tell your child how much you appreciate who they are and what they bring to your life, take your dog for a walk. Generosity comes in many forms and is always life-affirming.
Say this blessing every evening before going to sleep: Please Bless this night and guide me to a restful sleep filled with dreams that enlighten and show me the way. May I awaken renewed with abounding faith and a grateful heart, ready to receive and celebrate the gift of a new day, your most gracious present. And so it is. Amen.

from my own Xperience - fear is a crippler and is my worst enemy these days and does not come from Light, God, Divine or HP. fear be GONE yu have no power here (now I have to believe it)
Rosie note___I was a BIG ball of FEAR....i was so traumatized in childhood and lived each day waiting for the next evil to come...the "other shoe to drop"....i never knew what SAFE was...if i was not safe at home??? WHERE could i be SAFE??? for me, back then, there was no safe person to go to....no safe place to run to.....NO support....NO help.....NO rescue....NOTHING!!!!
that was then.....this is now.....TODAY i am SAFE in the protection of my higher power and my healthier me....i can protect me now...make better choices now...i can discern real danger now....and the irrational fears that rear their heads, i can work my program over them now....yes, NOW i am in a diferent life....Thank you Higher Power and thank you 12 steps recovery........
I do affirmations telling me that "we are safe....we are loved....we are worth it".....telling me and my inner child...
just my take....use what you can and leave the rest....
Hi Rosie- yeah, I used to live with a great deal of fear also and I wanted to add this: We are living in a time when ALOT of imagined fear is generated by entities and people outside of us, too. We have been TRAINED to be afraid every day by what we see and hear on TV and in the news. The television is an alcoholic, I am pretty sure. Want to decrease the fear and stress in your life? Try cold turkey-ing TV and all the electronic media buzzing in your face for a month and see how differently you feel...(no wonder people have a hard time sleeping!) hugs, J.

##### i was TRAINED since day one of my exhistence....Then the TV and the news confirming that this was a horrible and hostile world..the stuff that "sells" , is so bad!!! yea, i cut WAY back listening to the news so much..like yea, i want to be aware, but i don't stare at it anymore......i don't want to be stressed out...when i am getting dressed in the am the TV is OFF....NO news at bedtime either so i can pray/meditate on things that are GOOD....
I 100% agree with what you said.....i did the "cold turkey" thing re: the news and i was WAY less depressed......now??? i just put a "shelf life" on how much info i want to hear and then "flick" the channel to something more appealing.......hugs back at ya......R.
I like this, thanks for posting it. I am going to read that again tomorrow and hope some of it sticks, all great ideas, especially for me, the early morning is when I get depressed.
Great Share Rosie... Hope you don't mind if I steal it for myself :) My fears was always about what "Others would think" for that is what was pounded in to my head as a child... HUSH.. DOn't tell know one, because "What would they think of you then" Sooo I am truly blessed that I found Al-anon, and this support, and love from everyone, for you have ALL showed me that I have nothing to fear but fear its self...
Thank you for posting this. It was exactly what I needed to read right at this moment as fear and anxiety are entering my mind. Now how on earth do I get these thoughts out of my head?????
