Thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes. Christy, I am so impressed that you taught that kitty to sing.
It was a lovely weekend. I took the entire weekend off and that was a treat. I did lots of chores and spring cleaning (although it felt more like summer with temperatures up in the 80+). It was a bit bittersweet without my beloved Tim, but he's where he's suppose to be, in my heart.
Yesterday Pipers promptly woke me up at 12am exactly (nothing like a paw in your ear!). I like to think it was my Tim saying Happy Birthday to me. In the morning she brought me "treat". I love her for it, but I really don't eat fur. I worked around the house. I had to deal with some more of the legal stuff but not even seeing my neighbor could ruin my day. Justice will prevail.
A good friend dropped off my new favorite toy. A pineapple slicer and a pineapple. I love stuff like that. I'm waiting a few more days until the pineapple is a bit riper until I try it out. (The wait is driving me crazy!) My niece came over later in the day for another cooking lesson. This time grilled Tuscan salad and garlic bread. She made me a cake. Of course we had that first. She gave me a coffeemug from the Ripley's Aquarium (I have a fetish for aquariums and musem mugs) and my favorite body scrub. She said she wished it was more. But I reminded her that the best gift I had was spending time with her.
Then my sister and my other niece came over. She gave me a couple of my Mom's pins. But I told her to keep them as I still have some of hers. I loved her for it though. It was a fun and lovely weekend. Pipers and I finally plopped into bed by 7:30pm. There is something so special about crawling into bed early on a hot evening with a cool fan on. Of course Pipers decided that where she wants to sleep is across my neck! She never does this when it's cold out. That's my girl.
I am ready to face the work week and continue our inventory prep. I will be glad when that gets done. Thanks for being a huge part of my life. It means the world to me. Much love and blessings to you and your families. Much love to all my favorite pets out there too.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

It's your life. Take no prisoners. You will have it your way.
Glad your day was all about you and you had wonderful people to spend it with :) It is always nice when people take the time to think of us, when usually we can't do it ourselves...lol.. I know I am like that most of the time, and being a Christmas Baby, doesn't help me either, for if someone remembers my birthday.. .It is a Good Day... lol..
Glad you have your Piper for those early night evennings... Always glad to know you are loved :) Love & prayers to you and good luck on your inventory...
Even though I asked you to tell us what Pipers gave you for your birthday, something told me you would get the same present you always receive. Well, as they say it's the thought that counts. Next year I want have to ask you. I think I already have the answer.
Happy belated birthday Karilynn. Thank you for sharing that day with us. When I was a kid, our cat sometimes brought my grandparents treats at their doorstep. I remember smiling about it and my grandpa grabbing the shovel to take it away.
