Okay...honestly I was in the other room looking for some gems and got this with the thought, "Humor and laughing is an indication of recovery". So read this and inventory your own progress.
Sponsorship
A man in a hot air balloon realized he was lost. So he descended a bit and shouted to a man on the ground "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The man on the ground replied, "You're in a hot air balloon hovering approximately 30 feet above the ground. You're between 40 and 41 degrees north latitude and between 59 and 60 degrees west longitude.
"You must be a sponsor," said the balloonist.
"I am, replied the man, how did you know?"
"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is, I believe, technically correct, but I've no idea what to make of your information and fact is I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help at all. If anything, you've probably delayed my trip."
The man below responded, "You must be a sponsee."
"I am," replied the balloonist, "but how did you know?"
"Well, said the man, you don't know where you are or where you're going. You have risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise, which you've no idea how to keep, and you expect other people to solve your problems. The fact is you are in exactly the same position you were before we met, but now, somehow, it's my fault."
This is so true. It also reminds me of the kids I train. Once in awhile I will get a youngster who finds it easier to ask the questions rather than figure out the answer for themselves. They already know the answer. But it's easier to continually ask for the answer. Now I turn to them and say: "You tell me, I know you know the answer. You know what to do, you've done it before." It's one thing to need reassurance. It's another thing to depend on people for the answers. I had to stop enabling them, and cut the strings. Thanks for the giggle and lesson all at the same time. Much love and blessings to you and your family.

Once again proof that humor is the best medicine. Used in the right way, at the right time, humor can serve a mulitide of purposes. I use humor often, or dry humor as I rerfer to it, because it can usually bring a smile reguardless of the situation.
oh what a nice break for my brain! had been on the message board doing some posting taking myself very seriously humor reminds me i am not in control of anyone but myself and even that is limited to my responses sometimes thank you!
Good one Jerry... hadn't heard that one in sponsor/sponsee vein..... I originally had heard that one where the punchline was "you must be an accountant, cuz your information is 100% accurate and totally useless!"
Thanks for the smile...
