Good news!!

Saturday my Ahusband finally go to rehab. I'm just sooo happy!!! I know this is just the beginning of a new struggle and that there is along way to go, but I'm glad he took this step and that he did it all buy himself.
I, of course, don't take full credit for him going to rehab, but I honestly think that My change got to him.
Thank you HP for hearing my prayers and for giving me this program. It truly works if you work it.

I would caution you not to stop working your program simply because he went to rehab. Not everyone that goes to rehab completes the program, nor do they go for the right reasons. I strongly urge you to urge every tool you have in your arsenal to stay focused and spiritually grounded.

Fantastic!  Hopefully recovery is next!  You just keep trusting in your HP and he will
take care of you and your AH. Mine has 2 1/2 years and is doing great.
Keep the faith!

Of course this is  wonderful! Tiger does make a good point however.

I wish someone would have warned me. Rehab is part of the disease most the time. Somentimes A's end up going five or more times. Does not negate any of the good they will get out of it, even if it is only a few days of being clean or detoxing.

For me alanon taught me to accept the A as is. Never getting involved in his or her path.

The disease is forever, there is no cure. Almost all A's relapse, all thru their lives of recovery.

This is important to know I believe. Because if we think oh it is over, the pain will be gone. He is back to being him, or her, it is not.
The question is sober, recovery, whatever, can each of us get ourselves to a place we can stay with them as is or not.

For me, no way could I go back to him and go thru that whole thing again. And I was very very much in love with him.

Remember alanon is for us not them. Their choices have to be totally their own energy.

glad you are here, love,debilyn

Thanks for the advice guys!!! I do understand rehab is only step one and that my AH could relapse. This is his 3rd rehab actually.
I am coming back for ME, this program has helped ME and theres no way I wanna go back to not being in the program.
