I just wanted to let everyone know i thank you for all your advise and help on the board. My dad the night b-4 came to me and stated that he wanted me to give my AH a message from him about that he love's and cares about him like a son and he hope's that him and i work it out. I told him why dont you tell him? He said ok. From what I understand my dad and him talked yesterday what was said I dont know and I am not going to ask its between him and AH. I am greatfull for the support my family has given me and the space to make the decision on my own on what to do. I am taking it one day at a time. I had read from a earlier posting and felt the quote was a good one (like she said a little vulgar :) ), If i have one foot on yesterday and one foot on tomarrow I will being peeing on today. One day at a time and sometimes one second at a time. Take care of me!!!! thanks again to all and to all BIG ((((((((HUGS)))))))))))
Thanks for such an uplifting post. You have learned well. You let your father and husband talk and let the conversation be between them. Great progress.
So glad that you father was so kind an supportive, I am sure it warmed yur heart.
Please keep posting and attending meetings. Recovery truly will enrich your life.
Keep coming back Lori...It's so important you stay in the program. That detachment gets bigger and bigger and better and better with time and experience plus your share on that experience might save another's sanity.
Mahalo for it. It is very supportive for my recovery also.
