I am trying to prepare for the summer and it looks like a long hard one for me. I'm trying to get some desperately needed dental work done as well as get new glasses. For me that means putting my head down and making that the focus. I'd love to hare some time off, relax and enjoy the scenery but my teeth are not up to that. i can't help but feel overwhelmed and lost and fed up. At the same time I know that taking full responsibility for myself is really the only way to go. I know where doing otherwise got me.
yeah, I finally knuckled under and went to the dentist. I had to make a list and check things off- going to the dentist for a cleaning was one of them. I did it. I checked it off the list. You can too. Another thing on my list was getting my taxes done and I did that too. Checked it off the list. My list of ME. What I need to do to be a balanced healthy responsible adult for ME. Hugs, J.
Maresie~ I too have dental work that I have been putting off doing because of the cost. I've been waiting for our taxes to get done to see what we owe on them before I decide if I can afford to have the work done or not. The problem is it shouldn't be a choice, if I lose this one tooth, I have no teeth to attach a partial to, I'm only 46 and I want to have good teeth. It's hard when the money is scarce.
Maresie, I am so glad that you shared this today! I too have been needing to go to the dentist. I am fortunate enough to have insurance, but I just hate going. I haven't had any dental problems yet and its time that I take better care of myself. My goal......I get 2 free dental cleanings a year. I'm not only gonna make my first appointment, I'm gonna make my second one too...that way I'll have 6 months to let it sink in.
This summer do take time to do something nice for yourself. It could be anything, just do something! Please let me know what you decided to do for yourself.
I've had the cleaning (went to a dental school for that) and my tax rebate is part of what's paying for the initial consult. Paying for the rest is the issue. I need a lot of work done and I already lost one tooth by not going.
