Have a Question???

I have been wanting to change my name from "Missing Out" to something a little more to were I am NOW in my life, which is by far NOT Missing Out...
A dear MIP friend of mine told me that I could, but the only way she found to do it was to start a new one, which means i loose all my posts and what not!
So my question... Does anyone know how to just go in and change the name without loosing all your post? If anyone can come up with anything I would be most grateful... I will lose them if I have to but would much rather keep them as my stepping stone....

Love & Prayers to All....
Not "Missing Out" NO MORE!!!! smile

I don't know how to go in and change your name without losing all your posts, but I like you came in feeling low and picked out a name that expressed what I was feeling, overcome (with emotions). I have changed that by capitalizing Overcome and explain quite often that my nick means that i can Overcome all things through my Higher Power whom I chose to call God. Maybe you found your solution by using the nick Missing out NO MORE!  That would tie the two posts togethere in some fashion. Just a suggeston.

Sorry - this question has been asked before, and I am not aware of how one could change their name on here.

Good morning

You have reached the brick wall that I reached.

The only way forward is to take the plunge and go for broke. Your HP WILL be with you in this. Think of the negative vibes you are going to lose in taking this huge "leap of faith" as it were. smile.gif

You know I felt EXACTLY as you do now about losing my old posts etcetera, really scared about that, however, I found that I did NOT need to worry about that "detail" for that is what it became as I moved forward.

I x-referenced my new name with my old name for a while so that people would know who I was and I did not have to repeat my story in order for them to help me. It worked out just fine. And I felt that it was worth the risk and HP really held me up as I took that challenge.

PM me if you wish, however I would urge you to take that challenge forward and go for it, ask Jerry what the change did for me, ask any of the long term members such as David62, Christy, Serendipity, Debilyn - now she knows tho she has not been posting a lot just lately - Jen, oh there are so many I could name. I had notched up some 700/800 (most likely to have been more) posts before and had been here for a time, that's how significant it was for me to change my name from the old negative HEARTBROKEN.

In the end it did not matter at all for what I lost was more than made up for in what I found.

P.S. I even changed my photograph from the red heart that I had to become that new person - me, and my signature too.  smile.gif
