today he went to bed without getting stoned. with the strenght that im gaining i have told him that its no longer acceptable to smoke drugs in or around the home and i feel great. i know that the road ahead is long and there will bad days but i now know with certain clarity that i have strength, when it comes to this.  i must do it for myself and my kids.  i know that he would have smoked during the day, but i wasnt around to see it so it was easy for me to detach. i am about to go away for 6 days with the kids. i know that he will smoke himself stupid but hopefully on my return there will be changes. he even indicated today that he would reduce it to band practise night (fri). i know that he prob should be giving up completley but ill take anything that i can get at the moment. also our 7 yr old wants to learn to surf. so he took her today and he was excited about it. actually excited about the surf and doing surf checks with her. he hasnt been excited about the surf in years. i actually said to him well this could be your new "drug", getting involved with her and teaching her his old passion.  he didnt dimiss this idea. anway, today i lived one day and it was pretty good.
