On the 4th of this month, I celebrated my 23rd Alanon birthday. I am so blessed to be a member of this wonderful fellowship! It has been a rough time getting to this place in my life but I am very grateful. I haven't always been active in Alanon all these years but I tell ya the time I have been attending meetings has always been a great experience of learning and growing! To all newcomers, hang in there! It may not get better right away. It may get different before it gets better. I am living proof that it takes awhile for some of us to get it, but once I did, it was a wonderful, spiritual experience. Kathleen
Kathleen... Congrats on your 23rd You... Go girl... I am always happy to hear the happy endings of it all, and to know that you are still hang'n in and doing what you can... I am new so have learned alot these last couple weeks, but i know that I have a long way to go... Hope to some day get to a place were I can exsept the things I can not change...which is damn near everything these days..lol... but i know I have that faith and the strength, I just need the No how to carry on...

Congratulations Kathleen! I am so happy that you got it. I agree that it hasn't been easy. I don't think I have it yet but I have received so many gifts. I was sporadic at first but now I have four years of continuous recovery. I am thankful.
((((Hoot)))) I did not realize you were 21 years older than me. You make me feel so young, like a spring chicken again. I'm only two and a half.
