Merry Christmas to all of you wonderful people out there in MIP land..... And if you don't celebrate Christmas, please join us in this time of good reflection for the things we are thankful for - health, sobriety, serenity, loved ones, etc., etc.... I continue to learn from so many on this board, and even when I want to walk away, I can never stay away for long....
Take care, and I look forward to more posts in the New Year....
Tom
p.s. special thanks to John, for his vision and dedication for this special place!

Merry Christmas to you too! I am off this morning to make waffles for my nieces, and then plan on spending a quiet day with Pipers. I am taking my Alanon tool box to my sister's as she's in denial about brother in law, and she is in need of some serious recovery herself. I have set a firm boundary with them, that if either of them "act up", I'm out of there. I told them that I want none of that, as this is my first Christmas without Tim. If they want to behave the way they normally do, then so be it. But not while I'm there. They can behave for several hours.
We still have snow on the ground, despite the fact that it has been raining. But I love seeing the snow and it makes me feel closer to Tim. Besides Piper loves to catch snowballs in her mouth (she thinks she's a dog!). Enjoy the day. May it be as peaceful and serene as it can be for all of us. Thanks to John as always for this wonderful, healing place. Love and blessings to you and your family.
Live strong, Karilynn & Piper Claus

Thanks Tom and the very same to you. Wish I could have transported the entire MIP family to Mel and Tony's (program members) for brunch with more of the local recovering community. It is beyond fun...way beyond.
Thank you again so much for your incredible generosity with giving out copies of Getting them Sober. That was a lovely gesture. I certainly appreciated it.
