I'm in a little bit of shock and not sure I really want to delve into what this could turn into but for those who have so patiently read about my health issues and frustrations i have an update. I spent 4 hours (ugh) in a MRI tube on Tuesday and they finally caught the proof to give this thing a name. I have neuromyelitis optica AKA Devics Syndrome or disease. It's not good news, I am trying to be grateful for a name instead of feeling like I have this imaginary problem.
If you can spend 4 hours in an MRI tube without losing it, you are a strong strong woman!!! That is 3 hours longer than I ever have had to stay and no matter how much music is piped into your ears, the time is anxious and hard to deal with. Sooo, you are strong. Now that you have a dignosis for your illness, now the medical profession can try to address what to do next. That is the name of the game: what to do???? I pray that you have great doctors who will be able to help you. Hang in there. You are in my thoughts and prayers this Saturday morning.
I'm not claustrophopic but 4 hours in an MRI tube probably would turn me into one. You did really well. Proof positive you have the strength to face anything. Now that your condition has a name, you can now know how to treat it. We'll keep sending our love and prayers for you. Much love and blessings to you and your family.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty
