this moring at the Super Saturday AFG and expressed my gratitude to her and
her recovering alcoholic husband for hosting the Thanksgiving get-together at
their home in the jungle/forest outside of Hilo.  I am still deeply affected by that
gathering as all of us, all 35 plus have been on the same journey apart and
together at times and the love and acceptance and gratitude was sooo thick
you could not have escaped it.  The laughter and gaity was the sound of once
broken people now healed.  I am still so deeply affected.  She was smiling too
and she told me that the next morning when she and her husband were leaving
the property for town that he expressed to her how grateful he felt that they
and done that and she in perfect enabling form told him "now flash back to 6
years ago (before they got into recovery) and run last night thru that memory.
We had nothing broken, no slips and falls, no pass outs or vomit on the floor or fights and..."   They were affected deeply also and still so very grateful. The
celebrations get better and better and better as the practice continues.

I carry the MIP family with me where ever I go because you are so real to me.
I wish you all coulda been there too.   Also we know how to cook and we
know how to eat.  We've even put an Area Cook Book together as a fund
raiser.  Hey maybe this is where the term "Fat and Sassy" came from?  It
could happen!!  Jerry just sitting back feeling pleased....(((((hugs)))))
