May I offer a gentle suggestion to the OPs? This is not to criticize the wonderful and hard work you all do. I am very glad that you are here protecting us and guiding us. I so appreciate all the time and dedication you put into this amazing place. You do not get thanked enough.
Perhaps when you find it in the best interest of the MIP family here to either edit or delete another member's post, it might help that member if you were to privately PM them as to the reasons why it was done. I do not need to know. It is none of my business. I have to trust your judgement and I do. But especially with the newcomers, perhaps informing them as to why it took place would help them. Just a suggestion lovingly made in the best interest of this wonderful family here. Love and blessings to all of you and your families.

Very good point, and speaking for myself, I think we make every attempt to PM the person, even if it is after the fact. In my experience on the board, I have found that 99% of the people appreciate the effort and the communication. We also, as moderators, try to keep each other informed if there are issues that are being dealt with.
