Easing of rescuing

Dear All,
Well I collected the A-brother's stuff on monday, unfortunately I gave him money that I shouldn't really have, my father has started to collect people at the airport though I did ring to offer to bring a guest back for thursday. I am not needed and this is good at present, no drama or trouble. I have been making goal lists from this morning, small goals and getting a lot done, I'm pleased with this. I have a temporary desk so am grateful and it has some really cool adobe programs. Best of luck to all of you and may I say just how much your posts really help at the moment. I didn't even realise my rescue mentality until the last year or so and even if you fall into the hole you have some tools for getting out, unlike before.

i think I also did not realise how much I rescued and how much of a people pleaser I was.  I set limits this year and that is very new for me.  I am glad you are making the best of it.

Maresie.

I am very much a people pleaser myself. But, we have to set boundaries. It's hard I just started doing that myself. And sticking up for myself more. I do see improvements.

I think that we have all been there at one time or another. I have had to not rescue my oldest son. Hopefully he will feel better and I will feel better in the long run.

In support,
Nancy
