I attended an awesome AA/Alanon camp-out this weekend on the Hopi Reservation in Arizona. Freedom in Sobriety. The speakers were inspiring - AA, Alanon, and Alateen. The Alateen speakers in particular were so powerful. I went to sleep under a full moon listening to a drum group. I am committed to keep working on my recovery program.
For me, taking on a service position and attending al-anon events helped (helps) me stay dedicated to my brighter future (recovery).
It seems as if there is always a recovery event around the corner... If anyone looking at these posts has not ever attended, get in touch with your Group Rep or sponsor and have a "date" with the program!!!
