He must go and answer a charge of public intoxication. He is on his own. He has all of his evidence to his innocence, and I actually believe he will beat the charge. Asked whether he wanted a jury, he opted to let the judge decide. He has a silver tongue, he is charming beyond description, and he speaks with that refined English accent that always commands attention here in Texas.
Meanwhile I am going to play MahJongg this afternoon. I am proud that I have let him handle this one with absolutely no help or concern from me.
The clock's a tickin'.

Kudos Diva.... that really is "detachment" in the flesh....
I can't help but have an image of him..... .possibly "wallowing in his success" of likely beating this charge - and it will just keep him stuck and sick for even longer..... I guess my hope for him, is that he actually loses today, so that maybe, just maybe, it will be the start of what he "needs" to hear, as opposed to what he "wants" to hear today....
Take care Tom

Several of you have asked if I am still going to Hawaii...Yes, of course! I leave on August 25th to look over what I bought, sight unseen on Maui. It is in Wailea. It may be a vacation place for a while. But it's there, and the trade breezes are beckoning to me........

Actually, Canadianguy, his is not "wallowing in his success." He is taking this pretty seriously. But, he has his "ducks in a row." and I fully expect he will come home, charges having been dismissed, and having learned nothing. *sigh* I honestly agree with you. I'd like to see him found guilty. Maybe a slap on the hand would make an impression. But, I know it would all be the judge's fault for being derelict in his/her duty and not listening to him. He CAN be arrogant.
