Well... I am doing OK. I just wanted to check in. I hope everyone is having a wonderful 4th of July weekend. Trying to live one day at a time with plans for the future. Hopefully I don't end up projecting and ruining today. I just am so impatient and I want to get things done. Someone suggested writing stuff down. I did and I still feel overwhelmed. One step at a time; I tell myself. Anyway, I will be OK. In recovery, Kathleen
good to hear from you HN, its a challenging weekend- so much drinking everywhere- I am in rural Minnesota and during a holiday like this most people begin in the morning...I have been laying low and just doing things on my own. Its been a nice weekend of peace and quiet for me. take care, one moment at a time, hugs, J.
Soooo very nice to hear from you again and that you are still normal!! LOL You are still qualified for our family and it is nice to have you knock and say hello again. Overwhelmed?? you say. It's okay to takes some stuff off of your plate also. Too much can choke you.
Hi there stranger. I hope you have a great weekend. I have had to work during the holidays. But here it is Sunday and I have it off. I like mellow holidays. I was invited to a picnic today but there will be too much drama for my taste. I decided to stay home, watch the Tour de France and make a blueberry pie. I will help hubby vacuum the car and we may go to the final round of the golf tournament that work sponsors.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, make sure to take a Pipers Kitty's day. Or you can name it after your kitties. The point is if they can do what they want, when they want and I'm guessing not feel a bit guilty about it, why can't we? Take a day off from your challenges (don't like the word problems). Do what you want to do. If you want to run naked through your house - go for it! If you want to eat an entire pie - go for it! If you want to tear up a whole bunch of papers and throw them in the air - go for it! Make it your day. I try and do this at least once a month (preferably once a week). It can be very freeing and empowering. Try it!
Pipers by the way is in a very goofy mood this early Sunday morning. She has been sprinting in and out of the apartment, onto the patio and then up the crab apple tree! (Me thinks she tried to get into the pot of catnip we have planted!) Much love and blessings to you.
Live strong (and silly), Karilynn & Pipers Kitty
