I tried to figure out how to email someone privately but had no luck. Someone in the chat room told me to double click on the persons name, which I assumed meant that meant that when that person was talking in the meeting room. I'm not sure. Anyway, I tried to double click in the meeting room but nothing came up about contacting that member. What am I doing wrong? Is there any other way to contact a member privately? I tried writing a "new message" from my homepage but when I tried to send it, the persons name I was sending it to went blank. I'm confused.
Click on the user's name in the forum; this will take you to their profile. On the right hand side, under their name, there's a link to send a private message.
What if I cant find a persons name in a message forum (message board)? I just tried clicking on a name in the chat room to see if it worked and if I left clicked, it said miracles in progress, and if I right clicked it said, whois,and other things but nothing about homepage or reply. I'm still so confused.
Jackie, The person has to be in the room to chat with them in a pm box. If they are in the room on the right hand side of the screen you should see their name on the list. Double click their name (another screen will come up it should read #their name, to get back to the main room click on the button that says #alanonchat) and type something and press enter. That will send it to them. Keep in mind if they are a newer member they may not know how to pm themselves and could miss it. so maybe telling them in the main room you would like to privately speak with them might help, or if they are an older memebr they may be able to help you work it out :)
If they are not in the room you can come here to the board and up across the top where is says board start, mip main page, the next tab is search click on that and type in the name you are looking for. then another screen will show up and you can click on their name again and it will take you to a link to pm through the board.
