Hi Kitty: I do hope you will reconsider leaving. I know you have been such a great person in the chat room and here. You have done so much work on your ACOA issues, on your own al anon issues. I will miss you greatly if you leave.

We all have some real moments of despair and despondency but none of them go on for ever.

I hope you will reconsider. No matter what the situation nothing is ever hopeless. All of us have had issues in our lives that seem as though they can not be overcome.

Kitty, I too have had times of deep hopelessness. When you're ready, Al-Anon will be ready for you so you can change your mind if you want. I have seen inmy long life my future cannot be predicted by my recent past. I have come to know I get 2nd chances (and 3rd, etc.) and they come more often when I am open to these chances.

No situation is so bad it can't get worse. When I feel hopeless I have to remember to use my tools of prayer, meetings, sponsor, phone calls, literature, journal your feelings. You are loved, people care, have the courage to reach out. Take a mini break if you must, eat, sleep, calm down but always know we're here. You forget, we need you as much as you need us.
