I have been frustrated with stressed kids over failing grades and missing school, but today they are camping with scouts so all three of us can have a break from the pressure.
My sleep has been poor and many naps to be rested for the next crazy thing from soap bar clogging toilet, singed hair of son, oil based paint all over my sink etc, it is not water clean up and argumentative teens often but today I have woken refreshed, renewed and had lots of extra sleep.
My relationship with AH is often tentative, distant and also frustrating but today I can plan my own day of things to do, be cheerful & have some fun, plant a little in my garden, look forward to a visit from a college son and plan to call my mom for mother's day.
I want to feel more energetic and more cheerful, I will express my gratitude throughout the day to my hp and I want a good day so I will use a new way to have a new day, a good day, a wonderful day!

Been out in the garden and done 1/2 hour. My back knows it too and my sciatica is playing up big time so I have come in to read a little here and then I am off to make a cup of tea. and put my feet up before trying a little more.

I think sleep, or should I say, the lack of sleep, plays a much greater role in our emotional health than we acknowledge. I'm glad you got some last night and feel better today.
I hope you can enjoy this weekend, and just feel freedom from the turmoil. Just know I am in the trenches with you as I have a teen, pre-teen, and a 3 yr old who thinks he's a teen.
I'm glad you are making plans to have a good day. My kids will be home any moment, and I am gearing up. I'm going to try and make it a good day too and hope I can take full advantage of this holiday to get my house clean with "happy hearts" from my children. We'll see.....
