The family is still growing!! Step Son and Step Daughter-in-Law are now three and it is sooooo promising cause he has been clean and sober over half his life now and her also. And the new member?....a girl finally!!...and check out her name, R U B Y!!. Aw man doesn't that name bring to mind a color that dazzles the eyes. Gramma (my wife) is walking 3 feet off the grown as this is her eldest son. Me? It's not the fact that he got into recovery right after we met it is because of this program. It reverses the ravages of alcoholism and drug abuse if it is lived and they live it. I am excited for them and just so excited. This is the third R U B Y in my life....the last two were mothers- in-law. Both of them were gems also. Ho`omaika`i. Being blessed.
That was a goose bump moment for me Jerry F, so nice of you to share with us an oh so positive and upbeat side to this dreadful illness, those peeps (people) so deserve the gift of that precious gem, Ruby. x
Wonderful news of a gift of a brand new little life so full of hope and promise. May lovely R U B Y be happy, well, and greatly blessed her whole life through.

Wow Jerry, it's so cool to hear about your new "joy" and so great of you to share what program has done for your family! What a blessing that she was born to parents in the program and grandparents also. Much joy to you and your family!! Little girls hold a special place in my heart, enjoy her!!!

Enjoy being a grandpappa, all over again. Each arrival makes the experience anew. I can just see your huge contented smile and visualise you sitting smuggly in your favourite chair on the veranda watching the sunsetting over your island.
