Day 6

Ok so I have been on the diet 8 days and been doing the exercise for 6.  I have lost 10 pounds from the time I returned from DC.  I have a much easier time getting out of bed in the morning and am starting to look forward to the machine...  I skipped the weekend because it was too hectic and I just didn't feel like doing it then.  It's great as part of my get up morning routine.  I have started to notice this...and I have NEVER been one for exercising...

First, the first five minutes are torture!  Then I get a wave of (I guess it's adrenaline) and everything feels numb for a minute and then I have this sudden energy to continue and it's easier to breathe and nothing hurts.  Before I always gave up in the first five minutes because it sucked!  Now I know in my mind if I can just get to that point I'll be fine the rest of the time.  It's comforting.  So today I did 20 minutes and I was surprised when the machine stopped to cool down it was over before I knew it.  Usually I'm watching the clock.

The hardest parts are telling my mind to get out of bed and do this it's worthwhile, and the first five minutes.  I think I'm ready to step up the time.  I have been strapped for time the last two days going to school with my daughter but now that I'm done with that I will add some to the workout.  I think I can reach my goal of 40lbs by the end of June.  :D

It's good to hear you're doing well, CG. I know when I used to go work out that the times that I really didn't feel like it were the days I really needed it the most. I always felt so much better after a work out.

Keep it up. You are off to a great start.
