Tomorrow's Courage To Change Entry

I read tomorrow's entry today because I thought it was todaysmile
But, I liked it. It related to my life right now.
I've been back home with Michael for just over a week now, and although it hasn't been "perfect", it has been rather enjoyable. We have had a couple of disagreements. Stupid things, but we didn't get into anything serious. We argued and got over it quickly.

The entry for tomorrow says something to the effect of giving what I wanted to receive and becoming what I wanted to attract. I thought about that when I read it. Then I read it again. And again. That's what I've done with Michael. I've given him the unconditional love and understanding that I want, and that is what he is giving me in return. The reading reenforces "you get what you give."

By treating Michael with love and respect, his attitude has changed. When I make the conscience effort to have a good day and try and stay positive, in return he acts the same way. I'm not sure if he is aware of this, but I am.

He got laid off on Monday and is now working side jobs in order for us to have money. We have both been out this week looking for work. He suggested that I apply to become a server at Cracker Barrel. I put in the application and have had 2 interviews in the past 2 days. I'll find out Friday if I have the job. I've received a phone call today about another job working at a local gas station. I've worked there before. I start next Wednesday full time.

What has amazed me this past week is his changed attitude. Despite the lay off and the waiting game we both have had to play, he has remained positive. I can see how much he has changed in the past few weeks and how much he is working his program and he sees how much I am working mine.

This program is such a life saver for all of us. I am one of the truely grateful ones. I pray that you all may find your way as I have finally found mine.

Something very important to remember is to keep coming back because it does work if you work it!smile

Thanks for that share JenN...That philosophy is a big part of why this program works.  The whole thing works when you work the whole thing.

JenniferN,

Thanks for being the light. I was hesitating calling my AHsober today. I am driving that way. I thought forget it; it will just be awkward. What do I want in return? I would like a lunch or coffee and simple conversation. So maybe I will call and offer. Hope the job searching goes well for you and Michael. I think I will be looking soon.

In support,
Nancy

I'm so glad things are looking up for you. It does work if you sork it. I'm glad you stayed for the miracle.

In recovery,
