Challenging HEARTBROKEN

  • Each day I find I challenge Heartbroken to stay away by my resolve to stand in the light, as Jerry encouraged me to do.
  • Each day I find that Heartbroken does not break me as I choose to follow my programme and detach from the past and live in the present.
  • Each day I see Heartbroken has been conquered when I find laughter and gratitude for this programme.
  • Each day I get up resolved to find the real me in all that I do, and think and am.

Heartbroken the person I used to be is slowly being repaired and renewed.  She is still the same person in mind body and soul, she just chooses to look at the world from a different perspective and you know, it is WORKING for me.

Today I am off to my PMP session, knowing that I will find pain there as I work at my programme, however I know, just like the pain of renewal, it will pass and I will be stronger as a result.  Some pain is not damaging, it is strengthening and good...it tells us that we are working those muscles that we have neglected and the more we work them the easier it becomes and the less painful our experience.

So, I am off to inflict some HEALTHY pain upon myself, within the boundaries of my physical programme and the instructors and, I know that that will be beneficial to me just as this programme here is beneficial in keeping Heartbroken at bay too.

Here's hoping that some of the pain you may be feeling today may be as a result of flexing muscles that you have not used for some time.  ((((hugs))))

(((((Suzannah))))),

LOL, ummmm first I want to say, oh wow HB, didn't know that was you. biggrin idea Hehe ty for the clue.

Second. Awesome post. Flexing muscles I haven't used for some time, how about never. The muscles to walk away from the insanity. Yeah there is pain there, but it is good for me.

Ty on the perspective.

Yours in recovery,
Mandy

Aloha Suzannah!!

What an uplifting post.  That positive attitude was one of the consequences of your changing back into Suzannah.  Practice makes for great progression (whew almost said the other P word) in your program.  As you progress you will never look back over your shoulder to see if Heart Broken is still in view.

I use visualization including meta-physics to manage and control my pain along
with deep relaxation.  I have learned like you to see pain as useful and temporary.  The first thing I do in the awareness of it is make sure that I am not afraid of it.  When I get afraid of it, the pain worsens.  Instead of tensing I relax when I feel pain and don't fight it.

Good luck on your treatment.

In this last year I was almost completely broken by the A's actions. I have been working hard and no longer feel completely overwhelmed day and night.
