I got the call on Friday that he is back in jail. I know...surprise surprise, heartbreaking....
Anyway, I have been waiting for this so that I can file for custody and divorce and now my opportunity has arisen. I called a few lawyers on Friday but of course everyone was closed for the holiday so I'm hoping to be at an attorney's office this Friday with money in hand and get started with this. He has multiple felony B&E and conspiracy and Larceny charges in two counties and missed his court date here.
When he called he said...if I could get $70 I could make it to court tomorrow, otherwise I will probably be gone for around a year. I said gosh that sucks... asked him where he was (so I'd know where to serve the papers) and when he asked if I'd visit I said I don't know, we'll see... Which is nice for NO.
HP has answered my prayers...after I'm done with the custody case, I will wish good things for him.... I promise.
OH CG!!M I am as happy for you as I am pissed off for me. And I know, in any other part of the world saying "I am so happy your ex is being sent away for a year..." is not a NICE thing to say. But between me and you and all these wonderful alanons I have to say YEA!!! Here's your cahnce. That will be one less worry, one big thing off your plate. Getting the divorce and full custody doesn't mean that is he pops out of jail a chnaged man who wants to be a great dad and husband that you can't try again some day (sorry, just got done watching Enchanted") But between now and then, you can be free!!!!
Here's answered prayer so that you can now concentrate on you and the children knowing that nothing is going to crop up and unsettle you. Here is the breathing space that you so needed right now. Here is the chance for you to really work on that team effort at getting your family together with a routine,calmly and without worry of an unpleasant or unexpected intrusion...don't blow it...use it all for you and the children.
He is out of your way and out of the children's way. He is safe, warm, will be fed and watered and DT'd so you don't need to do anything else but concentrate on you and 3 children.
Wonderful, so go with it...so proud of you for being kind, whilst still not giving ground...now keep going and remember, mean what you say and don't be mean.
So happy for you and happy for him too, 'cos now he has time to be thoughtful though it will be tough for him. I will keep him in my prayers and hope he can do something positive with the time he has incarcerated. This time, it will make things easier for you...just what you needed.

I am glad you have clarity on this. I know getting unstuck is a long long job. I think it took me a good part of the last year to get unstuck. I can no longer be roped in for anything.
